SAFETY & SECURITY
The Cruise Terminal is equipped with a security plan as required by the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
In compliance with the sector regulations, Porto di Livorno 2000 guarantees a Safety & Security service through the most sophisticated and effective technological instruments.
It employs a qualified staff of about 50 people in high season, who deal daily with:
- carrying out checks at the port entrance to ensure access to authorised persons only;
- creating a restricted quayside area for cruise ship passengers;
- making the quay accessible and safe for passenger embarkation and disembarkation, facilitating their transit through the port;
- checking, using dedicated equipment, the luggage of departing passengers;
